Team Wales announce Clogau Gold as new partner

Clogau Gold of Wales Ltd announced as an Official Team and Community Partner for Commonwealth Games Wales

Clogau, a family business based in North Wales, is renowned for its sought-after and unique gold designs. Their growing range of beautiful jewellery has captured the hearts and imaginations of jewellery lovers across the globe, counting many famous names amongst their supporters. Every piece they create contains rare Welsh gold – the same gold used to craft wedding rings for members of the British Royal Family for 100 years.

Clogau worked with Team Wales at last summer’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, designing a pin badge to complement the official opening ceremony suit created by designer Julien Macdonald.

Ben Roberts, Managing Director of Clogau, said of the partnership: “We loved working with Team Wales for the 2022 Birmingham Games, and we are really excited to become an official Platinum Partner. Team Wales brings together over 20 sports to compete at the highest level against 72 nations globally, and seeing first-hand what the Games means to the athletes, support staff and the fans is overwhelming. We, like Team Wales, are very passionate about our Welsh heritage and I’m sure it will be a fantastic partnership.’’

This exciting four-year agreement will include creating an exclusive commemorative pin badge for Team Wales supporters to purchase in the build-up to the Games in Victoria 2026.

Rebecca Edwards-Symmons, CEO of Team Wales, added: “Clogau has decades of history in Wales and we are very proud to have the brand alongside ours for the next four years. Team Wales and Clogau have the heritage of Wales at the core of our businesses, and we look forward to having a long-term partnership with Ben and the Clogau team.”
