Gregg Varey
Gregg was first introduced to Judo at the age of 6 by his parents who took me along to Harlow Judo Club. At age 10 he moved to Jodan Judo club in East London until the age of 18 when he moed to the University of Bath in 2006 to study Sports Performance and train full time in the Team Bath High Performance Judo Programme. In 2019 he began training with the Welsh team under head coach Mark Earle. Gregg will now be able to join his Wife in representing Wales at the Commonwealth Games, as she was a member of Welsh Netball team that competed at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Despite his numerous judo accolades, his greatest achievement is being a dad to Zara Jade Varey, Gregg and his wife are also expecting their second child during the games.
