Oliver Barratt
Oliver was introduced to judo at around the age of seven, initially taking up the sport to develop his physical strength and fitness. What began as a way to build athletic ability quickly developed into a long-term commitment, and he has remained dedicated to judo ever since.
As his development progressed, Oliver became part of the British Judo full-time National Training Centre from the age of seventeen, allowing him to train and compete within a high-performance environment. Under the guidance of his personal coach, Stephen Abberley, he has continued to develop into a high-level senior athlete, achieving success on the international stage.
Oliver is known for his technical ability, with sasae tsurikomi ashi being one of his favourite techniques. Outside of judo, he enjoys playing golf and padel, travelling, and going out for food, as well as spending time developing his skills in the kitchen, where he considers himself a good cook.
