Laura is currently ranked fourth on the IWF Commonwealth Ranking List for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and has claimed silver at the 2026 British Championships, following a bronze medal in 2025. She is the current Welsh women’s 77kg lifting record holder, with a 122kg clean and jerk and a 214kg total, and finished third in the 2025 Welsh women’s rankings.
Laura has previously spent some time away from the sport in recent years after achieving a bronze medal from the 2018 Commonwealth Games for Wales. She came back to weightlifting around 18 months ago and has shown excellent results throughout this time, thriving in high pressure situations and recording new personal bests.
