Born on 30th November with his identical twin brother, Garan Croft. At 8 years old Ioan started boxing at his local boxing club, Cardigan ABC. Once he completed college, Ioan joined the full time programme at Sport Wales. In January 2022 Ioan was called up with his twin brother to the full time programme with Team GB in Sheffield. He has returned to Sport Wales for the past 6 weeks to prepare for the Commonwealth Games. His favourite boxer is Joe Calzaghe and his best fight was the Men’s European Championship Quarter Final, which was at his first major Senior Competition, where he secured a medal.
