Aled was a keen sportsman from a young age, representing Wales at swimming as a child and racking up multiple podium finishes at the IWAS World Junior Championships. In 2005 he was invited by Disability Sport Wales to try out athletics with a group of elite Paralympian’s and picked up a shot put and discus for the first time. is prowess has known no bounds as he’s gone on to become triple world champion and double Paralympic gold medal winner for both discus and shot put. Aled’s on a nine-year unbeaten major tournament run. Aled was made an MBE in the 2013 New Year’s Honours List.
