Ioan Hepburn

Ioan Hepburn is a Welsh track sprint cyclist from Cross Ash in Monmouthshire, who has progressed through the Wales Racing Academy pathway into international junior sprint competition.
His route into the sport began after he was talent-spotted on a watt bike at the Usk Agricultural Show as a youngster. Ioan has established himself as one of Wales’ leading young sprint talents, with 2025 marking a breakthrough year at international junior level.
Ioan’s standout career highlight is becoming Junior World Champion in the Team Sprint in 2025, racing with Kristian Larigo and Archie Gill as Great Britain took gold at the UCI Junior Track World Championships in Apeldoorn, also breaking their own National record.
The same trio had already won the Junior European Team Sprint title earlier in the season, making 2025 a breakthrough year for Ioan at international level.
His domestic achievements include the 2025 British Junior Sprint title and 2024 British Youth titles in the Keirin, Sprint and 500m Time Trial.
