Team Wales announce Celtic Collection as a new partner

Commonwealth Games Wales has announced The Celtic Collection as a new Official Team and Community Partner ahead of Trinbago 2023 and Victoria 2026.

The Celtic Collection is a prestigious family of experience-focused UK business and leisure destinations developed from the success of the world-renowned Celtic Manor Resort. The expanding collection of hotels and venues across Wales includes The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff, the Coldra Court Hotel in Langstone, Tŷ Hotels at Magor and Milford Waterfront in Pembrokeshire, and the Newbridge on Usk restaurant with rooms.

The exciting partnership will see Team Wales make use of the extensive facilities at Celtic Collection properties for preparation meetings and events ahead of the Commonwealth Games, King’s Baton Relay and other key events. The Celtic Collection will benefit from the international profile of partnering Team Wales on the global stage and outreach into the sporting communities that the organisation represents.

Celtic Collection Sales Director Rachel Phillips said: “We are thrilled to become a Platinum Partner of Team Wales. Having hosted golf’s Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in 2010 and being the official hotel partner of the Welsh Rugby Union at The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff, sport is a big part of what we do at The Celtic Collection.

“We work with a number of sporting organisations within Wales, and we are delighted to step up this commitment with this inspiring partnership. Team Wales has a strong track record for outstanding performance at the Commonwealth Games and we are very proud to support the drive for more medals and success at Victoria 2026.”

Rebecca Edwards-Symmons, CEO of Team Wales added “To have The Celtic Collection as a Platinum Team and Community Partner is brilliant. We look forward to working with Rachel and her experienced team through hosting multiple events across their beautiful venues.’’
