New appointments to Team Wales ahead of Gold Coast

With just over a year to to until the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Team Wales has made several appointments to join the HQ staff who will be supporting our athletes. 

Joining General Team Manager and Media Lead Ashleigh Crowter, will be Elliw Williams (currently Commonwealth Games Wales PR consultant) who’ll be responsible for media liaison and content, as well as Jess Magness who will be responsible for the ‘medal run’ (Team Wales athlete/media liaison) and Murry Toms who will be in charge of social media production.

Cath Shearer has been appointed to the HQ team as support for operations and performance and she will lead on co-ordinating home based practitioner support for the team.

Dr Katherine Guy and Dr Nicholas Roach will be joining previously appointed Chief Medical Officer Dr Gareth Jones on the Medical Team.

Eight physios have also been appointed to the team, led by Lead Physiotherapist Sian Knott. They are: Dan Jones, Dan Grimstead, Hannah Williams, Emma Fox, Liba Sheeran, Adam Rattenbury, Rhys Shorney, Nikki Mcloughlin.
