Team Wales Media Team
Team Wales has appointed an impressive Media Team of skilled individuals to help increase awareness and support for Team Wales during the build-up and throughout the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The six-strong team all have different skill sets to cover a wide range of media duties from managing athletes, capturing content, managing victory, social media, and PR. They will support the Head of Communications, Media and Engagement, Cathy Williams, in the lead up to the games, as well as designing, delivering, and monitoring multi-platform comms campaigns for the internal team, media, and public at Birmingham.
"It’s great to finally introduce our media team for Birmingham 2022. It’s vital that we have the right skill sets to ensure we can create plenty of exciting and relevant content across our platforms. Our aim is to increase the profile of each sport and individual athletes. This is their moment in the spotlight and we are here to support them on their journey. I’m looking forward to working with our media team over the coming months and continue building on our campaign – The summit of our aspirations." Cathy Williams
