TEAM WALES ANNOUNCE NIKE AS KIT DESIGNERS FOR BIRMINGHAM 2022

28th July marks one year to go until the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham

Team Wales have announced an exciting collaboration with Nike as preparations continue with one year to go until the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham next July 2022.

Nike have been appointed by Commonwealth Games Wales, the body responsible for taking Team Wales to the Commonwealth Games, to design and produce the kit for the team.

The design has been a project between the Nike designers, Team Wales athletes commission and PSL, the company responsible for producing the leisure wear.

In just 12 months’ time, 72 nations will come together to compete across 22 sports, with Womens T20 Cricket, 3 x 3 Basketball and 3 x 3 Wheelchair Basketball amongst the new sports introduced to the Games.

Team Wales have been busy preparing behind the scenes for their 22nd Commonwealth Games, and despite the pandemic and 16 months of uncertainty across sports, today’s milestone clearly marks a positive countdown to the Games next year.
