Boxing
A mixture of mental and physical strength, athletes will go head-to-head in the ring in a battle of skill and stamina. Boxing made its debut at the 1930 Empire Games, and as a core sport it has featured in every edition since. Team Wales have 41 boxing medals to their name, with the Gold Coast being their best ever Games. Lauren Price became the first female boxer for Wales at the 2014 Glasgow Games, who went on to become the first Welsh female to win a boxing medal in 2018.
