Our partnership with USW goes from strength to strength
Commonwealth Games Wales and the University of South Wales have had a successful partnership for a number of years, offering students unique and exciting opportunities to work on various projects such as the Queens Baton Relay, Commonwealth Day, school engagement and the Commonwealth Games! Our internship programme is offered to successful undergraduate USW students, giving them an opportunity to develop key skills and enhance their employability.
We are now excited to announce another partnership with the USW – Giving Masters students the opportunity to gain hands on experience with potential Commonwealth athletes, providing essential Strength and Conditioning support across a number of sports.
Masters students studying Strength and Conditioning and Sports Science have the opportunity to provide support in Badminton, Squash, Table Tennis and Lawn Bowls. This partnership is extremely valuable for both USW and Team Wales and we look forward to seeing our athlete’s development in the run up to Birmingham 2022.
We wish Nicole and Ruari the best of luck in supporting our athletes and best of luck in their Masters!
