Carswell is the surprise inclusion in the Team Wales swimming squad after a breakout year competing for Edinburgh University, where he studies Mathematics. His rapid rise saw him earn two new personal bests that booked his place on the bus to Birmingham. Tom’s family roots are in Flintshire, while he has relatives still residing in Aberystwyth.
