Matt Richards burst onto the global stage when he, alongside fellow Welshman Callum Jarvis, won 4x200m Freestyle gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The then 18-year-old Richards swam the third leg of the gold-medal winning swim, becoming the first Welshman to win Olympic gold in the pool since 1912.
