Wrestling
In a head-to-head face-off, athletes go toe-to-toe in an attempt to grapple, pin and dominate the opposition on the mats. Wrestling came onto the Commonwealth stage in 1930 in Hamilton, Canada. The women’s category was added to the programme in 2010, debuting at the Delhi games. Team Wales have won a total of three medals in the sport; Craig Billing earned the bronze medal in the 57kg category in Glasgow, Gold Coast saw two medals for the team with a silver and a bronze in the 65kg and 74kg categories, won by Kane Charig and Curtis Dodge respectively.
