Sarah Jones
Sarah plays for Wales and Great Britain with nearly 150 combined appearances. The midielder played her first Senior game for Wales against Scotland in 2011 and has been a permanent feature in the squad ever since, with highlights including the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 and 2018 at the Gold Coast, as well as five Euro Championships. Sarah started playing hockey at Howells School and fell in love with the sport whilst studying at Loughborough University.
Called into the GB cycle in 2016, Sarah became the first Welsh outfield athlete to represent Great Britain for eight years, carving the way for an increased number of Welsh athletes within the GB hockey set up. She was part of the GB team that won Bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Sarah played for the Premier club hockey Holcombe HC for 5 years, before moving to Wimbledom in 2021.
