Chris worked in the City of London as a Director at Rothschild’s for over 20 years before moving back to Wales and joining the Commonwealth Games in 2005.

Chris has had many roles within the organisation. At the 2010 Delhi Games and the 2008 + 2010 Youth Games, Chris was the Chef de Mission. 

He was elected as Vice President of Commonwealth Games Federation Board in 2019, having served two terms as  Regional Vice President for Europe, 2011-19.  Chris chairs the CGF Development Committee and is a member of several CGF Governance bodies.

Chris was Commonwealth Games Wales first member of staff in 2006 and became the CEO in 2010. Since the start of the pandemic, he has chaired the Welsh Professional and Elite sports for the return to sport and competition.

As well as this, he has competed for Wales at the Commonwealth Games in rowing in 1986.
