Shooting

There are 4 different shooting events that take place at the Commonwealth Games; clay target, pistol, small-bore/air rifle and full-bore rifle. Shooting is an optional sport and was first introduced in 1996. The only Games’ shooting has not appeared in, since its introduction, was in 1970. Wales have won a medal in shooting at every Games.

1974 – 1 silver, 1 bronze

1978 – 1 silver

1982 – 2 silver, 1 bronze

1986 – 2 bronze

1990 – 1 silver, 1 bronze

1994 – 1 gold, 1 silver

1998 – 1 gold, 1 bronze

2002 – 1 gold, 1 bronze

2006 – 1 gold, 2 bronze

2010 – 1 bronze

2014 – 1 silver

2018 – 2 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze
