Badminton

Badminton was first contested at Kingston in 1966 and has been played at every Games since. Badminton, known as one of the fastest competitive racket sports in the world, will undoubtedly be one of the most exciting events at Birmingham 2022. Team Wales have just won two medals in the sport; Kelly Thomas, who is Wales’ most successful player to date, struck gold in Kuala Lumpur, 1998 and Richard Vaughn fought for bronze in Manchester, 2002.
