Amy represents Pride Performance Weightlifting and is coached by Andy Griffiths and Heather Flannery. Amy started weightlifting in 2015 after years of junior athletics and cross country running and won her first welsh championship medal the same year. Amy has represented Wales internationally. Despite qualifying for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Amy had to withdraw due to a potentially career threatening spinal fracture. Amy does Olympic Weightlifting alongside working full time as a regional manager for an accessible technology company, helping people with mental health conditions and disabilities succeed in education and at home.
