Finance Director

Having graduated from Strathclyde University with a degree in Technology and Business Studies, Wendy joined SSE as a graduate trainee in 1989.  She worked through a variety of marketing, finance and commercial roles, before progressing in 2007 to Head of Marketing. She has also managed and delivered many significant M&A initiatives and ran SSE’s Retail Telecoms business for a number of years. In April 2013, Wendy became Director of Commonwealth Games and Sponsorship and was responsible for the successful delivery of SSE’s CWG2014 programme and led the contractual negotiations and delivery for the SSE Hydro/Arena properties along with other various sponsorship assets.  Wendy is now SSE’s Director of Customer Propositions leading the Domestic Energy business profitability.
