‘We are looking for someone special who during games time can inspire, motivate, and engage with all the athletes and support staff who represent Team Wales in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

We want to appoint an outstanding leader who can oversee what is now a more complex delivery model than previous games. Team Wales staff are already doing a fantastic job with all the operational planning to ensure the athletes have a world-class performance environment when they arrive at the athlete villages.

After the continued challenges the sporting landscape is experiencing it’s nice to have an exciting opportunity for the sector to consider. We are working closely with the organising committee and remain enthusiastic for what will be a fantastic Commonwealth Games and we are looking forward to welcoming the Chef de Mission to the team'.
